The handle is made entirely from bamboo (no laminates here, thank you!), sealed with an edible wax, and the bristles are made from a biodegradable polymer called Nylon 4. This cool stuff is great for bristles, but will break down in 3-4 months in a compost bin. How cool is that?

The sustainable bamboo grown is by local farmers, rather than in plantations.

How do you biodegrade it? Either stick it into your compost bin, or just bury it in the garden. You could even use them as markers for your favourite herbs (but only for a while!).
